Valvoline VR1 20W-50 is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to run a conventional (non-synthetic) oil in their classic Alfa.

It’s unique formulation features high levels of anti-wear additives such as Zinc and Phosphorus, which are critical for high-performance, flat-tappet camshaft engines. We’ve run this oil in many of our Alfas for years and have noted excellent high-temperature performance and low oil consumption.
